After a long week of tirelessly preparing for the impending doom that is called ‘finals week’ among the average college student, sometimes you just need to slow down and detox with a freshly cooked meal and drink specials.

Monday’s at Quanto Basta:

Half priced wine by the bottle

Located in downtown Winston-Salem, this Italian eatery and wine bar has taken the hearts (and stomachs) of many people with their selections of fantastic and traditional Italian cuisine dishes. If you’re looking to get off-campus for a fulfilling meal and drink combo, visit Quanto Basta for a half-priced bottle of wine, and don’t forget to pair it with the Fire Roasted chicken on any Monday night.

Tuesday’s at Hanes Mall Village Tavern:

$6 jumbo margaritas and $4.50 well drinks

Although this location is further away from campus, the cheap jumbo margaritas will certainly draw a crowd. Ease the tensions from your recently submitted term paper by ordering a jumbo margarita and a plate of the Firecracker shrimp tacos. The combination of the lightness of the shrimp and the sweetness of the margarita will guarantee a happy and full stomach.

Wednesday’s at Bad Daddy’s Burger Bar:

$3 NC draft beers

Some people advocate for pizza and beer, but nothing can truly beat the traditional combination of a juicy burger and a cold beer on tap. Here in North Carolina, we are fortunate to be gifted with some of the best breweries, which also happen to be offered at Bad Daddy’s. Avoid the ZSR and build your own dream burger and finish off each bite with an ice-cold sip of the NC taste of beer.

Thursday’s at Silo’s Deli & Bar:

$3 Tito’s Vodka cocktails

If you’re getting a little tired of the cheap Aristocrat or Smirnoff, head over to Silo’s on a Thursday night for the Tito’s cocktail special. It is no secret that the baked brie they serve is one of the best options on the menu by far. Order a few $3 cocktails with your brie and you will walk out feeling like a richer individual.

Friday’s at Small Batch:

Any two draft beers, get a specially designed pint class

Finally, the weekend has arrived and what better way to celebrate all of your achievements than to head down to the local brewery, Small Batch.

With 12 different brewed beer options and one of them named ‘Queen Cersei Blonde Ale this spot is an absolute must for an evening out on the town with your friends.

Saturday’s at Tate’s Craft Cocktails:

$4 Fireball shots

The local offerings present a rowdier side for your Saturday evening. Make your way down to Tate’s for a particularly special drink offering: $4 Fireball shots. Fortunately, bar snacks are offered at Tate’s, in case the taste is not to your liking.

Sunday’s at River Birch Lodge:

$2 off sangria

Rounding out the weekend, spend a classy evening at River Birch with some friends and sangria. Pair a glass or two of the sweet sangria with the light hickory grilled chicken. Though this may be the end of the weekend, you are still entitled to treat yourself.
