Hena, who was placed on leave suddenly last semester, is scheduled to teach three first-year seminars.

Banner course registration confirms Dr. Omaar Hena’s return to Wake Forest. The English professor will teach three sections of his First-Year Seminar called “Globalization and Culture.”

Hena went on leave in the middle of the Spring 2023 semester following a Title IX complaint filed against him. The Old Gold & Black reported last month that a course planning document from the English department showed that he would return to the classroom. You can read our original reporting on his sudden leave of absence here.
