On April 12, Shag on the Mag rounded out Springfest 2019 with the theme of Fire and Ice. Hosted on Manchester Plaza, the event included food, live music and an open bar for those 21 and older. This Wake Forest tradition consistently draws a crowd of students across all years.
As the name of the event suggests, the main attraction of the night is the live band and large dance floor. From 10 p.m. until late in the night, students gathered under the tent to dance with friends and enjoy a much-needed change of pace.Despite the threats of a thunderstorm, Shag on the Mag still attracted a large crowd of students. The event rounded out Student Union’s Springfest, which was held April 8-12.Senior Kathleen Burns poses with sophomores Riley Blair and Burke Preston.Sophomores Megan Harty and Emmy Harman pose for a photo at the annual Shag on the Mag event. The event included food and drinks, as well as a station to make s’mores.
